Pio: I think you got it right in the character list.....

Bilbo and Travelers: I mentioned earlier that it would be great if you hooked up for some fun before meeting the dwarves.

Dwarves: A note about your meeting in the chamber: I noticed that Haenir has his doubts about the journey. That's fine. However, the majority of the party are young dwarves, eager to find treasure. So, try to think less about hesitating: be impatient! You want to got and FIND TREASURE NOW.

Perhaps a comment of: "What are we waiting for? Lets go treasure hunting!" Although a little less "cliche."

Tolkien To Himaran.....

I have a post I am ready to post on the RPG, but I have a question first...are the Rhûn-ians allowed to tell what kinds of weapons we have? This answer tells me whether I will be able to post, or if I have to re-write my entire post. Ha.

If you'll still have me I would be more than happy to play in this one. Now that I finaly have gotten things to calm down I have time to come here. Unless I can keep up with a game and give it real attention I feel like I am wasting peoples time. Beside I really enjoy writing and don't like putting half efforts in.

So if you will have me everything has been cleared up for me to give the game real attention. Hope to hear from you guys soon.

Of course you can play - I understand the problem you were having.

Ok - I will get us to Laketown later on today.

How exciting that, the Dwarves will reach Laketown soon!

Himaran, I was wondering, since The Perky Ent quit, and Káin needs to be killed, about when do you plan to do that? The Travelers would be more than happy (I speak for myself at least) to assisst you in taking him out. A mistake in meeting, perhaps?

But whatever you want, as this is your game.

Having fun,

Sorry I have not posted in awhile, I am trying to sort things out with the other RPG I am currently in. It should be ending soon though, so once it is over I'll be able to post more!

The company has reached Laketown and is sitting in the dining spaces at an inn. We need to speed things up, as I want to spend much of our time actually IN Ruhn, so please post away. The game started up slowly, but it will be so no more!

At the Inn: Meet other people. Men, dwarves and occasionally elves from Mirkwood come through Laketown. Maybe someone knows something about Ruhn, or has a warning for those wanting to enter it....

Forim: Great Post! You practically made me have us leave Laketown a day
earlier. We can't have our dwarves hearing thinks like that!

Dwarves: Any last post in Laketown. It is night, you're in the Inn. You can go for a walk outside... do whatever.... go to bed.... Tomorrow morning, its off to Ruhn!

We have lots of ground to cover. We can take of several days in a single post... then do several posts in a single day... with a camp scene.

Upcoming In-Game Events:

Leaving Laketown
Warg Attack

Eruwen: Very Sorry, I missed your post earlier. Ruhnians have regular human weapons, but a bit cruder... and poisoned, of course.

Bilbo: The warg attack is pending... no time set. If the game needs some action, I'll throw it in.

Dwarves: Post, please. We need posts from multiple characters.

Bali, Dwalin, and Haenir have checked in. That leaves Narvi and Durin, I believe, as perky ent quit. And of course, Eruantalon.

Erulon: I know you have a tough schedule. I will post a save for you... please fill it in promptly.

1420! Hi, gang!

Sorry if I've been gone so long. Hand-over is approaching and "Desert Crown" still isn't through...

Ahem. Normal person excuse.

OK. Sorry if I haven't posted much. Lot of housework. They make me wash dishes!!!

So, is the Inn save still available?

NOTE: I PLACED THIS POST ON THE GAME THREAD ON THE INN SAVE - PIO

"Lorien calls me, so I must go now. Besides, we'll be leaving early tomorrow."

Narvi has just been talking with old friends, fellow veterans of Dale. Some had gone on to be official explorers for the Reunited Realm, and a few of them had even gone to Rhûn. Rhûn. Still a funny name.

Despite the fact that none were sent anywhere near the Sea of Rhûn, their knowledge of the terrain of the East has been helpful. But not very hopeful. Rough rocky outcrops as far as the eye can see. Except for a few trickling streams, the land is almost a desert. And yet the men who assailed us came from that part of Middle-earth. How could they have lived there?

There was something else that caught his attention during the description of Rhûn. There have been some sightings of strange shadows trailing those that dared to travel through the Eastlands. Rhûn loathes outsiders, he concluded, followed by a warning, What are we doing?

Of course, heat plays tricks on people's minds, he said jokingly. Joke or not, once they reach Rhûn, he'll keep his axe a little closer to himself.

Arasinel: Great Post! Just in time, actually.

The elf (I forget his name) just shot a warning arrow at the dwarves. Now the travellers can step out and identify themselves as friends. The elf, of course, will be laughing histerically.

Then we can reach Ruhn and have nearly two weeks to reach the sea! Keep moving!

TRAVELLERS, DWARVES: I put up saves. We will be in Ruhn ONE WAY OR ANOTHER by the end of May. Then we have a month to get out of it.

Ruhnians: Not long now. Please check in and put in a few posts since the story is turning towards you. I will pm all Ruhnians once the dwarves reach Ruhn.

Folks, I have as many posts in the game thread as everyone else combined. You really need to start posting. Don't just follow me - MOVE THE PLOT ALONG YOURSELVES. I can't write this story alone.

Thanks,
Himaran

I'm reading and catching up here. I can finaly devote regular time here. Heres the post.

Seeing the inn made him feel oddly comforted. There was new hope in a place where everyone could relax. Things couldn’t be rushed but they shouldn’t be made slower either. Now Looking around the inn he saw many travelers. They all seemed to be on there own business and need there own space. It seemed that all of them where preoccupied. Not this traveler he thought to himself. This was neither the time nor the place.

Moving through the inn it was hard to talk to his fellow companions. He needed to get through and find time on his own. Where would he go and how would he do this? He found a place outside around the back of the inn where there was still a grassy yard. He felt a fondness for green things and felt comfortable there.

Just as he sat there a familiar face showed up. A fellow traveler that had been on the last journey he went on for the dwarf lord. They sat and talked for some time and enjoyed the cool air of the night. Things began to quit in the town. This was the time he loved most the simple quit that could cover the land. The two laughed and enjoyed the night till the moon had risen farther up and tale telling was over.

He made his way off to his room and slept a sound sleep. Like a quit before the storm he thought to himself. He hoped for the best on his journey. But he could feel something building in this time around.

I moved us to Rhun. Post about your emotions upon realizing that Rhun isn't what it seemed. Anger, Frustration, exhausion. Anything!

Then move us south. One of you can post about finding a passage. Then we head through it, and get lost in the rocky jungle. And go insane. Nothing but fun lies ahead.

POST POST POST can't stress this enough.

THIS THREAD WILL STAY UP ON THE LIST UNTIL SOMEONE STARTS POSTING!

Read my instructions above and post. Rhunians too! You need to get out into the jungle, as we are about to enter it.

You can harass the dwarves - steal their supplies and maps, cut down trees that you know will be in their path, and throw rocks at them during nightime. But NO DIRECT CONFLICT - until we enter the caves.
