I had forgotten that his staff was broken on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum, which would imply that he got a new one. Also Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli would have recognized his staff and not taken him for Sarauman (I believe Gimli threatens to make an incureable dent in his hat [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]) although, you can never be to careful, especialy when dealing with wizards. Also I forgot to put this in the original post, on the Bridge of Khazad-Dum when Gandalf says 'I am a servant of the Secret Fire, Wieldor of the flame of Anor. You cannot pass. The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udun. Go back to the shadow , you cannot pass.'what exactly does all that mean. I suppose it doesn't really have to do with wheather he got a new body or not, but I've always wondered what it meant and it happenes right before his death.
