I can't believe this! I figured it out!
 so this is how it feels when you actually know something.  well, let's see... Used, carried, thrown away. ps. I'll be gone for a couple of days so I can't confirm any answers. sorry.

um Im thinking the one ring, it was used and carried and then thrown away. But Im probably way off.

Maybe Eowyn? she was skilled in swordmanship, obviously fair and trapped in many ways: her house falling and she unable to do anything about it, she was held against her will at the houses of healing etc.
