I must say, you are all rather clever and are coming up with applicable things that I never even considered. So... the answer is not the Rings, or the Ring, it is not Cirdan, Gandalf, or anything else to do with actual rings.

To clarify my hint... the thread that inspired my screen name was a thread in Mirth that was closed down ages ago. Which is why, unless you like to sift through old threads, you probably won't figure it out. To make it even easier... the answer is funny.

Anyway Firefoot, the only blonde elf I know (if she even is blonde) would be Galadriel. Seems like a reasonable guess.

Essex, I was thinking maybe it has something to do with "Firefoot's" sn, so I was thinking along the lines of Eomer as well, but snuck it in before me.
