this is Denethor speaking to Gandalf in Minas Tirith:

(Btw : This is almost a lie! At least Denethor is deliberately hiding the truth about the palantir from Gandalf. )

You are of course right, Son of Númenor, that "Merry is May-time " is in this song.
But I had really another person in mind who actually quoted it: "Merry is May-time! " with an exclamation mark! Can you find that too ? or is that asking too much ?
