I am absolutely delighted for both of you, Lalwendë and davem! You've been walking hand-in-hand on the reputation list for awhile now, so to have you find each other in real life is a wonderful continuation. What is it they say about life imitating art (or was that the other way around?

)... I wish you all the very best - and this gives me just one more reason to look forward to meeting the two of you at "Tolkien 2005" this summer!

Congratulations! May your life together be filled with moments of bliss. Note that, from experience, the only thing better than finding your love with whom to share your life is to create a family with the same.

And I assume that you both are on the same side of the 'Balrog's wings' debate, surely, and if not, then there's a plan to resolve the issue before the big day?

That's wonderful news! Best I've heard in a long time. (But don't think for a moment that I will stand idly by and allow you to combine your reps!)

There absolutely must be some role or part for us of the BDs in the ceremony. At my own wedding, those who could not attend sent 'telegrams' (emails) that were read out at the reception -- any chance of the same??

Failing that, at the very least, maybe we could entice the happy couple into their first RPG: The Wedding of Lord Davem and the Lady Lalwende! It could be like the annual Birthday Party for the Downs and everyone could come in their BD character to wish the couple well. But where would it be set? The Shire? Rivendell? Lorien? Minas Tirith? Mordor?
