Welcome to the Downs Folwren, I think I have seen you around.

PMing - for advice or to speak about an off-topic point usually.
Siggies - ignore the current battle for Tol-in-Gauroth ones, it's too confusing!
Avoiding enemies - do not post 'your ideas are stupid' and you should be safe.

Cailín has just left Hobbiton.
Newbie

Hello everyone!

I am also new here. I have been reading your discussion for quite some time and could not resist signing up. I have only read the Lotr trilogy and the Hobbit, so I really don't know much about Middle Earth, but I'm a big fan of the story and especially the Hobbit I can read a hundred times.

I guess I will just start posting and getting to know the site a little. See you all soon.

PMing: it's fun. Don't be afraid to send a PM to anyone, because the secret is, we all get this warm and fuzzy feeling (like swallowing a cat ) when we see that somebody wrote something just for us.

Signatures: many times they're your favorite passages from books, but they can also be random silly quotes, references to weird things... really anything. Mine comes from The Saucepan Man, who was not-so-subtly hinting that the phantom and I needed to get serious.

Conversing without making enemies: Don't talk to burrahobbit. No, just kidding. As long as you are polite and willing to learn, you'll do wonderfully.

Welcome both of you, and enjoy your time here.

Aww heck, Gil. I'm not even sure what you mean by under-post. You may as well put it here for us all to learn.

*sigh*

Under-posting is basically trying to outdo a previous post, or trying to make yourself feel superior by making a previous post feel stupid, for example, "This is how it really went and you should re-read the books before you post here again you loser"

i've seen this in alot of other forums and its a major member-killer

The Eye

Hey Barrowdowners.
I have been reading these forums for quite sometime now and I really like the RPG's in here , so I decided to join up . I have only read the LOTR triology so I have'nt got much knowledge on the subject.
But I hope I will learn something about LOTR in here.
