Do you trust God?
THen, if you do, then you are putting on a blind trust in a sense that you don't know what He wants.
It is a matter of faith. The Wise and the other people hoped if not prayed that Eru/Iluvatar guide them in their works... just like the most of us humans pray yet still do our tasks. It's rather hard to explain in English.... I can't put the words together...
