True, but for 'someone to know' you must sign, or they don't know. Unless you PM them. Which just seems an unnecessary hassle to me.

Have you ever noticed, that signed neg-reps may affect your image of a person? When I was a newbie (I hope people don't consider me as one anymore...) I got a rather embarrassing and a bit unfair(?) neg rep, from a "higher" downer and after that I've considered her as a bit irritating person. Now the neg reps don't bother me so much (or affect my images of the downers, because I usually know them already), but in the other hand, I don't get such unreasonable and malicious neg reps anymore... This really bothers me, because to me myself it seems ridiculous to hold a "grudge" on somebody who nearly a year ago gave you an insulting neg rep...

I don't know about that... I mean, I try not to take the opinion of people I do not know and whom only know me through what I write on a message board not too seriously. Of course, if I say something offensive I'd like to know both why and who I offended, so that it won't happen again, but besides that I don't mind neg reps. And possitive reps are always a good thing, and it's usually good for starting a conversation with whomever repped you =)

As some I've repped will know, I tend to forget to sign, and then have to PM people. Even worse, I sometimes forget if I forgot or not, and PM just in case, and then it turns out I didn't forget after all.

I, like many people before me, must thank all those that has given me reps, and especially those that lately helped me to be "bound for the straight road". Maeggaladiel and Glirdan, thank you! And all those that appreciated my posts concerning Is Eru God?, thank you very much. I got a neg rep for one of the posts there, but you people saved me from breaking down and cry

But I must say that it feels a bit embarrassing. What I mean is, there's a lot of members with very high repping value i.e. gives a lot of rep points per rep occasion. We, lesser members are very favoured by that. It must have been so much harder in the beginning when all you got was 2-3 points per rep. I feel much respect for the ones in top of the list that fought their way there back in the hard times I have such an easy way to walk in comparison!

I'm eagerly awaiting the first one (Lalwende?) to break free from the boundaries of this world and join Eru wherever he is.

Maybe the next secret level will be "Lalwendë has gone to see if Eru is God."

Or maybe before that should could "...is looking for wings on a Balrog." Or "...is asking Bombadil what he is." That would be great!

Those are awsome ideas Gurth!!! I want that to happen!! The likelyhood of it, however, is pretty slim.
