From my reading in the book I take it that she wants it for a moment, but she never REALLY becomes that sort of monster that's shown in the movie. If anything, she imagines what it would be like and then rejects that thought as it would have been just as bad as Sauron taking over the world. Finally, I must say that even if fairychick101's post was a little.... unconventional, we should not humiliate her, or make fun of what she wrote. If anything we should all show some class and PM her our issues with what she wrote yet try to keep the thread as polite as possible. I think she somehow brings up an interesting idea. Is Galadriel (movie) shown as somewhat evil? I happened to watch the scene when she's tempted by the ring last night and she surely looks like someone you should be afraid of. Also, do you think that in the movie she reacts to the tempation in the same way she does in the book? Let's try to make this thread a good one, Farael |
