Well I'm a bit slow with this Tuor, but Anardil Aldarion names the tree in Unfinished Tales (P.202 of my edition):

Quote:

P.S. I was thinking the actual tree
Aldarion was alluding to was one different from
the elf gift, a native of Numenor that they encountered
