Oh dear, I haven't seen the first Harry Potter film...hold on, I haven't read any of the books either.
I have only seen the trailers for the films, and I am quite surprised about the similarities. But I suppose that is the way with fantasy writers, a lot of inspiration from the man himself. I believe in Tolkein.
