Most inactive of the Valar? Why then did the Elves, and every Man who had some sense, adore her and, more importantly, call upon her name when in peril - and, if I may add, successfully so?

Varda made Sam able to wipe the floor with Shelob. She could make Gimli wipe the floor with both Chrysophylax and Smaug. (After which Gimli will leave the victory to her for three locks of her hair)

She had no troubles so far, and I thought this was a very wise decision by everybody. However, you all seem to suddenly have fallen to the folly of wanting a dragon to win.
