Well I met a couple from Hamburg and traveled with them in Chile and they used to say that Danish was just a bad copy of German. . . There are a lot of simulareties, but of course they are very different as well. Kind of like Dutch and German (there is also alot of Dutch words I can understand). If you move to Flensburg you can get some of the Danish minority to teach you. . .
