It is great that the films did something of service for you and others. I must join you in confusion about right and left and directions when I read LOTR. One time I took out a couple of ME atlases and attempted to track every significant movement that way just so I would have it clear in my head. However, that only proved even more confusing. So now I just go with the flow - regardless of the direction

Of course, there's always movie Legolas's
confusion about the direction of Orthanc on the path of the Three Walkers. ![]() And I did like the way PJ included Gandalf's horses on the waves, BUT I STILL WOULD PREFER FRODO'S BOOK QUOTE "By Luthien the Fair you shall have neither the ring nor me" to movie Arwen's macho taunt.
