Glorfindel killed/was killed by a balrog during the evacuation from Gondolin in Sil and was also the elf that met the Frodo et al just before the flight to the ford.

Miriel was Feanor's mother who "gsve up the ghost" after giving birth and eventually came back from the Halls of Mandos into her own body again (which was preserved in the decay-free land of the Valor).
