Oh, I didn't know that was what you meant

Though precious it looks, a shiny stone,
(Its scales are shiny)
It was not born in the earth.
(It was born in water)
It speaks all day, but no sound is heard,
(It opens and closes its mouth all the time)
And no matter how far it goes,
It will always end up in the same place.
(It can never leave its bowl or tank)
