I think it's not deliberate on the maker's part, but "gaga" is actually a Filipino word for "stupid" or something. So it made it funnier for me and my brother.

Interesting, for that matter, I think I have seen it used in English in similar connection too. But who knows where it came from.

Anyway, my favourite part in the video is probably "Tell me where is Gandalf, for I much desire to speak with him" and especially "A Balrog of Morgoth" ("What did you say?"). Put like this, the "r" sounds really stand out wonderfully

In England it is often used for someone who is senile - and apparently has it's origins in a French word for an old fool. By extension it is used about those who are otherwise demented ie by infatuation.
