Start time will depend upon the swiftness of response from the participants. If everyone has their teams and predictions ready to go by next week I imagine we will begin unless there are weighty objections from co-mods. But if by delaying it is certain that more players will be participating, I would be in favor of a later start.

Playoffs will be A1 vs H2, B1 vs G2, etc.

I hope to post the opening round of games both here and on the game thread in the next couple days. There are just a couple of loose ends to tie up first, such as site selection. The Arda Cup committee is in the final stages of considering hosting bids for the groups, and the competition is fierce! Rumor is Sauron has threatened to set off Mt Doom and cover all the lands in ash if Mordor isn't selected as a host site, and Manwe has hinted that he'll call upon Eru to open up a chasm in the sea if Valimar doesn't host.
