The Hobbit seems to be a hit this season(wonder why...)0 "Surely you don't disbelieve the prophecies, because you had a hand in bringing them about yourself? You don't really suppose, do you, that all your adventures and escapes were managed by mere luck just for your sole benefit?" Gandalf to Bilbo

That's it, Erendis! Can't say that the Hobbit is a hit with me (read LotR at 11 and loved it immediately, could not get into TH until I was in my mid-20's, and still had trouble liking it. But it grew on me. ) This movie thing makes me shudder to think, but that's for another topic! This one is yours, so take it away!

"Unhappy Men, children of little lords and brief kings, shall such as these lay hands on you, and yet live?" Thingol's thoughts concerning Beren and Lśthien. I will confess the remark that there were no P's when there were two had me confused....

			A likely group of letters but sorry, Tuor, no C's. TECHON (no C) "The- / h-- / -e--n / to / -o--et: / -o--et / the-- / o-n / -e--nn-n-s / -n- / -e-en-s, / -o--et / -h-t / --tt-e / the- / h-- / -no-n / --o-t / the / --e--ness / o- / the / -o---. / -t / --s / not / -et / -one, / --t / -t / --s / --tt-n- / ----e-: / the / -e-o-- / o- / the / h--h / -n- / the / -e---o-s." Would a hint help? Like, it's from Unfinished Tales?

I had figured out nearly the whole text, but was puzzled because it didn't sound like a quote but a piece of narrative, like in the prologue... So your hint was very welcome, Ibri!

If you guess the current one, in this case Guinevere's, you can then post one of your own.

It's Guinevere's turn, morwen. Try asking her for a letter and seeing if you can guess hers. Then, if you are successful, it'll be your turn to supply a quote for others to guess.
