Of course you could have. But I guarantee you wouldn't have wanted to read the tirade about the honour of the House of Dor-lómin I had in petto for that case.

Well, I suppose one has to sacrifice something for sake of one's sister.

As promised:

*raises a pole carved with baleful runes and crowned with a horse's naked skull facing towards Hithlum, clears his throat, shakes his fist at the Ered Lómin and declaims:*

"Let it be known to all and sundry, be they friend or foe or foul offspring of Morgoth Bauglir, Valar of the West or Variags of the East, Elves or Dwarves or mortal Men that in after days on earth shall dwell, that the honour of the House of Dor-lómin is as cheaply bought as Balrog-droppings in the pits of Angband, their word as worthless as the snot on an Orc's nose, and that their constancy changes more quickly than the greediest Hobbit can make room for another meal in his stomach. Not Laughter should they have called you, but Cackle. Túrin should have celebrated when you died. Húrin would sooner have unmanned himself and Morwen had a hysterectomy before giving life to such treacherous Orc-spawn. Galdor would have grieved to know he had such a granddaughter. Hador would have hid his head in shame. Hathol would have wept, Magor would have moped, Malach would have vomited and Marach would have farted in your general direction. Mîm would have approved of you, Glaurung would have applauded you, and decency forbids me to name what Morgoth would have had for pride of you, but it would have hit Ancalagon the Black cruising ten miles above the highest peaks of Thangorodrim. If Maedhros killed you, he did right, and glory be to him!"

And phantom, you backstabbing scoundrel, pick your share.

Whoa, whoa. I'd rather pick Aredhel than Ioreth. And the opportunity presented itself. And note that I only did this when the phantom gave me the opportunity. I like Aredhel, and that's that!

Oh, and I forgot: May your boyfriend burn in agony, day after day in those fiery pits he cast himself into! I heard you planned to marry the very elf that killed countless innocents. Go, ahead, and marry the man who has blood of my ancestors and MY kin on his hands. Go ahead and marry him, and may you both burn. And I have more where that came from. Olwe was My father's brother's grandson's wife's mother's father's brother! Cope with it! Olwe is MY distant kin...I will avenge my kin and myself too! *hurls a knife at Maedhros at his wedding.*

G55, it's your thread, it's yours to decide if you feel the rules have been broken. I don't really care that much. Let Urwen have her Aredhel, if it means so much to her.

Well, you didn't have to agree to my deal then, did you? But you did, and went back on your word at the first occasion. Now live with it.
And as for phantom, see above.

(No, I'm not that mad at you - it's a game, after all. But writing that philippika was rather satisfying, and I've always wanted to raise a niðstöng against somebody.)

PS. - Nice try! You're right, I would totally marry Maedhros, he's gorgeous. Too bad I'm male, straight and happily married already...

Talk about Cackles?

I have something to say against this whole thing.

a) Phantom voted for a person that was already in.
b) Urwen made a deal and signed a contract - we've all seen your written agreement to vote for Ioreth!
c) Urwen retracted votes upon which other people's decisions and actions were based upon

I understand that you like her, but that doesn't mean that you're allowed double-dealings. Morgoth would be mighty pleased, if he could see you now. Think he'd got a new friend, he would. Plus, tp also voted against the "unofficial rules".

(And. Really, tp?)

I am against tp's and Urwens 2 last votes for reasons above, but I want to hear more opinions before I change anything on the list.

Are you talking to Pitch? In that case, wrong gender!
