Well, I suppose its all a matter of opinion...I would consider elves (as a group) alive but divisions within them, such as Noldor, Vanyar, Moriquendi, ect artificial concepts, created by the elves, much the same as say brands of electronics....

I'm ready now.  It wasn't too confusing...I just have a tendency to over think, I suppose. And I'm worried, so I'm not thinking too clearly...Amrod and Amras kittens aren't doing too well.
