The Silmarilien has some good maps of Middle-earth in the First Age- though my copy is about 25-30 years old, im not sure they print the maps in anymore. And Unfinshed Tales has the only map of Numenor that you supposedly can find. It's a pretty good map too.
The only trouble is that the maps of the First Age were almost totally irrelevant by sometime during the second age, so it would be difficult To figure out where exactly those old places once were, like Doriath and Gondolin. That is the only thing that bothers me about those maps. The only thing that do not change are the rivers and the shape of the coastline-im not even sure about the rivers here- so i have to use those to figure it out. I don't even know how big Bleriand was comapred to Arnor and Gondor. Does anyone else know?
