				 | Was it written?

Okay I have a question, in the Fellowship of the rings the movie, in the prologue the line "history becam legend, and legend became myth" is said. What I need to know is if it was written at any point within the Lord of the Rings (the book). I'd like to know for an essay I'm writing, although I have read the books it was too long ago for me to remember and there isn't much hope of me finding the quote within the book(s). I would so appreciate any help that anyone can provide me with. Thank you so much! I hope I'm not being a complete pain.

Mae govannen, Iris! Welcome to the Downs, and enjoy being dead! I don't recall those words being in the book, but I think that you might get a better response if you posted this in the "Novices and Newcomers" forum. "Quotable Quotes" is really just a game forum. So try re-posting it there, and somebody who knows their stuff better than I could probably answer you more surely! Namarie, ~*~Orual~*~

Definately not in the books. It was made up by a script writer.
