I got to page nine and am still reading these so I don't know if mine have been said but..

- You said that you have to make up a dance for you school play and it turns out to be the Frodo Chicken Dance xD. Everyone starts laughing during rehearsal.

- Your friends who don't even know Lord of The Rings now greet you with 'Mae Govannen' when you walk into the classroom so they don't have to get smacked on the head.

- You school objects are named after Lord of The Rings characters. I have a pencil named Eomer, a calculator named Elrond and a shiny white laptop named Gandalf.

- You finally convinced your friends to read the Fellowship and when you hand the book over, you break into an extremely long speech of how it is basically your bible and if she hurts it in anyway she will have to face the wrath of your sword.

- Your friends decide that if they just nod and pretend to listen you won't kill them. And then when they tell you this you look hurt and ask why they don't want to talk about it.

- You spent an hour during recess and lunch explaining to your LoTR challenged friend about Ents and why the woodlands were important to Tolkien.

- When your stepdad is sitting in his big chair, without shoes on and smoking a pipe, you clap and says he looks like a hobbit... I just did this. xD

- Yours saving up for a Narsil replica but until then just have to use the sword your mum has in her office. (I did this, well, I did all of them but I tried to get it out of the sheath and whapped myself on the head with the hilt thus making my brother and friends laugh at me... then run when I aimed it at them. xD)

Sorry about this, but we had to butt in...again...

You constantly misread things, Eg: Ford=Frodo, celebration=Celebriant etc.
and you start mispronouncing words. Instead of Cicero, you say Kikero

Digitalizing Gimli's Ale? Oh come on, technical progress is one thing, but when even beverages become digital...

You know you're obsessed with LOTR when nearly a decade after the release of the movies you are STILL going to work dressed like an elf, or a hobbit, depending on the day.

So at this very moment by brother is playing this video came called Borderlands. So in the game there's this little "Midget" guy that he has to help by restoring the flow of "purple juice" to "Midgetville". The way he has to restore the flow of the juice is by activating 4 pumps.

The names of the pumps?

Brandybuck, Took, Gamgee and Underhill.

I got terribly excited.

I think my favorite part of that, though, is that I saw the word midget and automatically thought you were talking about me. *headdesks*

I've studied a smattering of Latin, and one of the first things I learned is 'c' is always pronouced like 'k', and 'ae' is pronounced like 'eye'. I've found telling people that in a superior voice really impresses them.

On topic...I don't have anything to beat you guys, but told a co-worker the other day he looked like a Hobbit having a bad hair day.

I lapse into Gollum-speak on a regular basis, even though I can't get the voice right to save my life.

When I label a container of leftover food, I have to restrain from writing "what's TATERS, precious?" for potatoes, 'leaveses' for salad, 'eggses', etc.

When you are in a training and you have to enter fake names into the computer database and the first ones that come to mind are not common ones like 'Bob Jones' but rather LOTR names. I would love to see the admins face when she sees those names that I entered

In the Maths GCSE today, there was a question about Arwen buying cars.

The first thing I wondered was whether it was Eomer's van, and the second was what the exchange rate in Middle-Earth is.

Well I suppose if you took the thirty silver pennies Butterbur paid for Bill and cash compensation for the loss of Merry's ponies and compared it to the price of modern horseflesh.. you could come up with practically anything.

Don't forget the other van - presumably quite substantial -that Legolas, Gimli, Aragorn and Gandalf went in with the Dunedain and the sons of Elrond.

Anyway the main reason for my post is that I saw various references and adverts for this company in magazines over the weekend.

So I have this fancy scanner thing that I use to reorder greeting cards (I work for a greeting card company, American Greetings). So I have to plug it into the phone jack to get updates and such and the screen always shows the names of all these random files. One of them was Ordo101. I got really excited. I have no clue what it means, or what it does, but I'm happy I have it.

You know you're obsessed with LOTR when....

1.You shout "Fly, you fools!" when you get tired of waiting in a line.
2. You write in Tengwar instead of English in your test.
3.You say your teacher is an orc for giving you an F for your test.(I once asked her why and she got very 'excited' if you take my meaning)
4.You sing your national song in Sindarin or Quenya.
5.You stay up all night searching for Earendil.
6.Thinking that going to the toilet as a quest.
7.and so on.....

My study teacher, whi I had two years ago for science, always asks me how my Elevensies was. (My school has lunch at about eleven o'clock) I also have his wife for my Latin teacher, so whenever I make a LOTR reference in Latin class, he hears about it.

When the predictive text function on your tablet's swipe keyboard opts for Elvish or LOTR actor names first. Brought home to me just now when Csokas was it's first choice for an everyday English word.

You see a flock of crows, and run for cover!
I did something like that after I saw the movie.

Mine are:
1). Whenever you meet a new person who loves and reads the books, and you ask, "Have you read LOTR?"
2). Keep talking in Gollum's style.
3). Keep repeating Gandalf's words "don't tempt me, Frodo!"
4). Taking many things in life in LotR's context.
5). Idealizing LotR characters for life.
6). Despite not liking the films too much watching them again and again because they are THE LORD OF THE RINGS.
7). Going for fight with anyone who insults the books.
8). Being able to talk about the books for hours and hours without getting tired.
9). Keep reciting the poems and songs of LOTR.
10). LotR's Middle-Earth being another Home and loving to visit there despite wars and darkness.
They're not funny, but for now this is what I can think of.

You wonder where The Road will sweep you off to every time you walk out your front door.

You wonder why the local booze seller has just told you to 'get out!' after you have pleaded with him for the hundreth time for Ent Juice.

You get reported and banned from your local park for 'hugging Huorns'.

Every day is a good day to LARP. pity your boss aint so keen.

You get an ugly twitch when Peter Jackson's The Hobbit is mentioned.

There was this one time quite recently that Lommy and I had an hour and a half's hike from the bus to the cabin with heavy backpacks. Starting with the old walking song, we entertained ourselves by singing LOTR songs.

I go into Gollum mode whenever I see one of my friends dropping change.
I get a nervous twitch whenever someone praises The Hobbit movies.
I clench my fists and grit my teeth with a murderous rage whenever someone asks why they didn't use the eagles to get to Mount Doom.
I once held a celebratory lunch on September 22nd involving mushroom soup.
