Yay! What a good idea .

One more question (really just an excuse to ask a question, so it's not just a 'nonsense' post ):

How much have the 1st two box sets been? Or have they differed in price...

The EE's have been about $70, at least for the super-duper version. My Dad has bought them both for me. *sniff* He's such a great guy.

The Eye

I've gotten the EVs (Collector's Ultra-Spiffy Editions) for something like $60 (US) each. It may depend on where you live as well; prices vary from place to place.

I'm going on a donut run. What do you guys want?

Tolkien

Here's something that was sent to my Mom. I have no idea what it says since I can't read Dutch or Norwegian, or whatever that is. I looked through the thread for a similiar link, so forgive me if it's a repeat...

Hi guys!

Well, I must say (sorry if I dissappoint anyone) that I very much doubt that they'll have the 'battle' in the shire in the EE. Since all the hints of such a thing happening that should've come in the other movies didn't, I'm pretty sure we'll have to settle with a more calm and quiet return to the shire.
I also (like someone else here, sorry I can't remember who) doubt that Arwen will give her necklace to Frodo, as she has already given it (as a symbol of her love) to Aragorn.

Then I've only got one, no two things to ad to the list of things-we-wish-to-see-on-the-EE-DVD:
1) Legolas' longing for the west (SONG! SONG! SONG!)
2) Legolas and Gimli's promises to each other to go see Fangorn and The Glittering Caves again

(Of course my list includes everything else mentioned here... that drinking game sounds VERY interesting!)

In the Return of the King, when Pippin successfully lights the beacon of Minas Tirith, it shows a parting glance at Denethor peeking out from what one could deem his secret 'high chamber of the tower'. I just noticed that the shiny black carvings around him are really pretty reminscent of the inside of Isengard. I have no idea where they would be able to place a scene revealing the Palantir of Minas Tirith, but that glimpse of that room certainly indicates that some mention of Denethor's secretive side was filmed.

Other than that, I have 4.5 words describing the EE scenes I can't wait for;

The Witch-King of Angmar

Are there any copyright issues with downloading Use Well the Days? I would like to download it, but not if it's possibly illegal. Does anyone know?

I don't know. Perhaps I could record my sister playing it on piano, and then send you the clip! We could just send it note by note, so that there's no way they could prosecute us. You could purchase the music book from Amazon.com, or perhaps just wait for the EE? My sister submitted the lyrics to TheOneRing.net, but they've been particularly unhelpful when it comes to using news that either I or my sister have sent.
