Hey guys... I figured I'd check the recent posts to see if my ever-so-adorable ( )avvie was mentioned, and whaddya know, it was. Thanks, Estel, I like your new one, finally one that goes with your name! As I told Morsul, my avvie is the Death card from a Tarot deck (although I didn't know that when I found it) done by the brilliant and often disturbing artist Dave McKean. Along with my sig (my current one, anyway, I may change it soon), I must seem like a really depressing person... I'm not, really

Yup, that's me!
Nah, I'm just innocent little Enca, thought to be a normal person by those who don't know me too well. The only zombie-like things about me are that I'm paler than most people are at the end of the summer, and my tendency to wear a bit too much eye makeup... (see, I admit it! The first step to solving the problem is admitting there is a problem!) Last edited by Encaitare; 09-03-2004 at 09:32 AM. |

Well Enca, I immediately saved your avatar to my computer the very first time I came across it. I don't think I really want to make any introspective comments about that.
And I just noticed that Opus is getting even clearer in B-W's avatar. Stay tuned for more updates from Opus-watch!

Hi, guys!
*waves frivolously*
Fea's new avatar is eye-catching. Like Minas Morgul, only in black-and-white. Saucie's avvie is perfect. For obvious reasons. Just like Eomer's Éomer. And Firefoot's horse - vy ze vay, I'm glad it's back. I really loved Aman's old av. The one in yellows and greens - scenery, I think it is. Gorwingel's old avvies of Queen Elizabeth I - for some reason, I find it fascinating. There might be many more that I forgot, but I'll come back to them next time. I hope. If I remember them . . .

Encaitare, Very nice Avatar! Looks almost like a version of a Barrow Wight I once saw. Very creepy! But good.

What do you think of my new avatar I got a whole bunch of new ones, I'm wanting to try them all out someday, had to resize this one, still looks good though.
It closer to what I wanted, I was going to put Seline (Underworld) up but decided not to.

Yes, yes, I got yet another avvie. Don't worry Odd will be back, but not for the moment. I got this from the link on the second to the last post on the page before this, but I don't know who posted it.
Seriously, I love Enca's and Eswen's avvies! Creepy and beautiful, respectively.

Gee, I've gone for a couple of days and everyone seems to have been on an avvie-changing spree.
Davem's avatar is quite lovely. Enca, your avatar freaks the hell out of me . Esgallhugwen, as usual, brilliant. Estel - finally! An avvie fit for your name. Meela's always makes me back up and look at it a second time. Oh, I almost forget Saucie's weird one...er...I liked the old one better; much friendlier. Thanks to everyone who said they liked my avvie, that made me feel really good!

Ah, Hookbill, I also miss Saucy's old avatar....the Saucepan Man was my favourite character from the Faraway Tree series. If it's any consolation though, I really like yours .

Thanks Fingolfin II, as I said, I found it on a German website after searching on Google images for "Tolkien icon". Yours it nice as well, looks like one of those shields that they had in Medieval times to represent a family or house! Very Cool!

It's this site. Although it has changed since and has a neat silver version. However I don't like it quite as much. And its French not German, sorry.

I know how you feel Morsul, I once had to go five months without my computer! It drove me insane. (Well, more insane than I already was )
*Insert Image of Hookbill rocking back and forth in the corner of a room twitching here* Back on topic; Perky Ent, your Avatar is very odd, but nice... but that’s what we like to see here on the Downs! I like the way it looks kind of confused and shocked.

Hmmm... many people seem to find my avvie creepy. I rather enjoy it. Perhaps it's someone in the Dead Marshes and the odd plant material is some sort of swamp vine or something. Or a wight as Hookbill suggested.
Waahh! Why did SpM change his avatar? I suppose he has the right to but I liked the friendly pot-sporting dude so much... |

Yes, now we'll never get his name! There's no longer a saucepan man! And just to let you know, Encaitare, I find out avvie creppy too! I can't really explain why...

Well, looks like Encaitre wins for creepiest avatar... It's scary!
...I like it I quite like Saucepan Man's new avatar - sure, it isn't as fitting to his name, maybe, but Abe (from the playstation game 'Abe's Oddysey') is so cute!

Yes, the general reaction notwithstanding, I think I'll keep Abe for a while (particularly as it took me all night to find a suitable picture and then get it the right size). At least until I have the time to make another SPM avatar.

Thank you to all whom have commented on my avatars, Saucepan man that character (abe) just freaks me out, but he runs funny in that game.... *ahem*
Imladris you seem to be a master at photoshop, I don't hve that program, I know, I know it is sad. I love Enca's avatar it suits my tastes, but I go for more of sad vampiric than scary demon. So I wouldn't call it creepy, just cool, but I am weird As I'm sure many of you have guessed.
