Most embarrassing moment: I cannot bring anything immediately to mind. I don't get embarrassed very easily, although crying in school is something I'd rather not do.

Unlikeliest celebrity crush: Rachel Weisz. No-one ever talks about her, despite the fact that she's lovely. Plus, we share the same birthday. Not that that makes her lovelier; I just thought I'd mention it. Oh, and every member of The Strokes. Didn't expect that, did you?

Weirdest hobby: Daydreaming about what I'd do if I were omnipotent. Not particularly weird in itself, but I do it a lot.

Most embarrassing moment: When I foolishly volunteer to contribute in class discussion despite my not being prepared. It happens often, and the entire room thinks I'm very unintelligent. Not particularly embarrassing I'll grant, but then I generally don't care what other people think of me.

Most daring moment: I don't think I've ever done anything really daring.

Least favourite 'LotR' actor: Maybe David Wenham: he was inappropriate for the role, in my view.

Greatest weakness: It has to be love. Don't get me wrong, it's brought me great joy; but nothing else clouds my logical faculties in such a way. You know those villains who are mesmerized by the hot secret agent, but before they execute her they instead try it on with her, despite the fact that she's an enemy, and she exploits this lapse in judgment and manages to slay them? Yea.

Quest: To enter my dearest heavenly Dad's embrace and stay there for a few thousand years, then afterwards get to meet various people I have always wanted to see (like BDers!).

Favourite colour: Blue, purple, and white. I'm beginning to like yellow a lot, too.

Most beloved Tolkien character: Eowyn. Luthien. Faramir. Aragorn deserves a citation for swoon-worthiness. Huan for most beloved Tolkien non-biped.

Least beloved Tolkien character: Melkor, of course! (But where would the books be without him, huh?)

Worst habit: Chewing on the inside lining of my cheek, biting on dry skin around my nails, pulling hair strands off my scalp, slouching, and of course procrastination.

Best habit: Pen twirling - it's mind-stimulating. And smiling, when I remember to.

Weirdest hobby: The Downs to non-Downers, especially Werewolf and analyzing LotR for CbC (when I still did). I wouldn't call solving the Rubik's cube weird, but maybe some people will. What can I do? It's addictive! Oh, and talking to myself. Aloud.

Best place in Middle Earth: I guess Dol Amroth would be nice...as well as Rivendell

Best place outside of Middle Earth: Alqualonde, any place with a beautiful view of the sky and/or the sea

Most embarrassing moment: It's either something so negligible that I forgot about it, or something so embarrassing that I paid someone to whack me on the head and make me forget it.

Most daring moment: Applying for just one university, the one that's arguably most difficult to get into (here in this country, of course). Despite statistical encouragement it was a gamble, but I'm studying there right now!

Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando Bloom and Liv Tyler, although I don't think I can blame them.

Before edit, it was this: I chat/PM with Formendacil more than a little- and share some similar worldviews. Put him down as the answer of the month.

Name: Nogrod. Taken in haste to just log in. I went to my copy of the Silm and took the first nicely sounding name that wasn't too obvious.

Quest: To find the question the answer of which is 42... So beads, flowers, freedom and happiness! Really, the world-peace (so juvenile as it sounds)

Favourite colour: Black and red. They are beautiful and match together. The only problem is that they are frequently used by all those fool-nationalistic-chimps in the northern Europe. They are still the colours of my father's and mother's home area before the WW II.

Most beloved Tolkien character: When I was young, it was surely Gandalf, Galadriel being the second. Lately I have started to approve more and more Sam. Elladan and Elrohir (even though they remain quite shabby characters in the narration) have been my favourites, and Prince Imrahil has kind of caught my imagination too.

Least beloved Tolkien character: Saruman is too easily turned to the dark side, he's not a believable character... The mouth of Sauron could have been a great character, but I think Tolkien missed some opportunities there. Merry and Pip are a bit shady, but that's no problem...

Worst habit: Smoking, drinking, idling, sleeping late and eating unhealthily (but well!).

Best habit: Thinking, caring about people, looking at everything with a keen eye, wishing to see all possible sides of the coin (not just the two!).

Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I have never idolized people. But surely there are great and creative human beings around you can admire. Happily I haven't got a crush on anyone I should have to be ashamed of now...

Weirdest hobby: Middle-Earth Olympics. Just ask Lommy or her little sister for details.

Best place in Middle Earth: If one should have to live in there, then Minas Tirith with all its cultural diversity and life. If just being lured by the place, then Imladris or Lorien.

Best place outside of Middle Earth: Rome, London, Helsinki. Our summer cottage in the middle of nowhere in central Finland is nice too.

Most embarrassing moment: Too many of those...

Most daring moment: In the former DDR (the East-Germany), I was with an official delegation, representing the peace-movement of Finland (that was in -84). I was in a debate where some of the East-German delegates (professors and pioneers) were talking how important it is to join the army of peace (the Warsaw Pact armies). I took the floor and made a pacifist declaration, defying the hosts openly. They tried to put me down but I didn't exactly lose that one. I was 16 then.

Favourite "LotR" actor: Sean Bean and the shakespeare actors (McKellen, Holm). No question about that! Andy Serkis was great and so was Brad Dourif.

Least favourite "LotR" actor: Orlando and Liv, John Noble and of course Viggo! (How could anyone pick him as the Strider?)

Unlikeliest celebrity crush: I haven't had a proper celebrity crush for years now, but here's something unlikely for you: I think Hatake Kakashi is rather good-looking... you know, for a cartoon character.

Weirdest hobby: The weirdest real hobby that I have (meaning, I take lessons in it) is undoubtedly composing polyphonic vocal fugues in "Palestrina style". It's pretty tricky with all the do's and don'ts of the style to make it sound like real 16th century's music.

Best place in Middle Earth: Rivendell or Dol Amroth because it's on the coast.

Best place outside of Middle Earth: I became quite attached to the yard of a small hostel in Moshi last October. I could have stayed there lying on the lawn and staring at the unbelievably bright stars for ever (there wasn't too many street lamps spoiling the view), but the odds are that I will never get there again, so I'll settle for my own room which is a rather wonderful place as well.

Most embarrassing moment: If not the most embarrassing (which it might very well be, though), this is the most recent one and it's related to the Downs. I was having a Sweeping Party which means that I scrolled through a lot of posts from my newbie days. It might have been cute unless the posts hadn't been that horrible. If I were a mod, I probably would have banned myself back then. The only good thing in this self-caused humiliation was to discover that during these years, my posting may have improved, after all.

Most daring moment: Downs: Promising to mod a WW game and hitting 'Submit Reply' when posting in The Books. RL: Hmm, I don't know. I guess I have done some daring things, but they just don't feel that daring to me.
