Galadriel, easy.. and Éowyn... i was a little dissappointed by Arwen's costume, i think it diddnt make her look etherial enough... oh, also, Aragorn's costume was TOPS.

I've been worrying about Arwen. Well, not so much worrying as fuming. I think they're taking it all too far. Her costumes are getting more and more outrageous as each movie goes by. I loved her elvish look in Fotr: the parts where she rescued Frodo, and when she spoke to Aragorn about being Isildur's heir and his fate (by the shards of Narsil). Those costumes were fine. But in TTT, she had that weird ancient Greek get-up in Aragorn's dream, and frankly I think they're going over the top in trying to make her the most beautiful elf. It's just getting ridiculous.

I love most the Elven costumes. Elrond's costume at the Counsel of Elrond was smashing; I love the embroidery. In fact I was highly impressed by the embroidery on all of the costumes, especially Elrond's and the White Tree on the costumes of Men of Gondor. In fact, after watching FoTR, I had a dream based on the costume embroidery which became the basis for a book I am writing (it has nothing to do with LoTR except for intricate embroidery).

i think all the costumes were flipping awsome!!! i love the elves costumes! but i think the hobbit costumes were truley fasinating! i think the feet were to be honest with you. i think the wraiths costumes were great as well. ms. dickson knew what she was doing! the men's costumes were very detailed as well...and well it is really hard to decide! if you get my drift!

I love all of the Elf and Man costumes (except Arwen! PJ, she is NOT Greek!). For this Halloween and for the Return of the King, I'm already getting my costume together. I'm going to end up looking like a cross between an Elf and a Ranger.

COSTUME TIP # 1:
To make that slit over-robe that Elrond wears while he's talking to Gandalf in Rivendell, all you have to do is get a vampire cloak or any other type of cloak (they sell them at most costume stores) and separate the two seams on the sides using scissors or anything else. Be sure to stop cutting (or tearing) about five inches from the top, otherwise, the front two "straps" will bunch up. You might have to trim them because they end up dragging slightly on the floor, but it will give you a nice-looking black version of Elrond's over-robe.
