I still have no idea . . .
. . . but I hope this would help someone who has.
I think the only non-Ainur link to Ossë is Tuor. Other than that, I'm befuddled.

Well, I posted this a few days ago and since then, I've had major leg surgery and been knocked by narcotics quite frequently. If that doesn't wreak havoc on your short term memory, nothing will . However, I have run it over in my mind and have come up with something that works, though it may not be my original solution. Once again, I'm not too sure of how fuzzy my logic may still be and if I find it to be wrong when I am of more sound mind, I'll come back and throw this thread in the air. But for right now, I'll tell you that Osse had more friends than Ainu and Tuor.

Riiight... So now that I'm mostly back to being human, I've gone over this and the best thing I've come up with is:
Orophin-> Arwen-> _____-> ______-> _______*-> Ossë *This one's a mariner... Hope this helps!

WOuld the blanks be Elrond, Earendil, and Tuor? (Arwen, daughter of Elrond, Son of Earendil, son of Tuor, who was given a message by Ulmo...... *shrug*)

Well that would work, except for the Ulmo link which is void because of my "no Ainur" rule. Sorry... This one may be too hard, so hints: The mariner never actually knew Ossë, but complained about being subject to his wrath.

That would be correct, I guess.
The answer I had been hoping for was:
Voronwë -> Túrin -> Melian -> Galadriel -> Boromir Oh, well. I'll have to think up something new. Finally! Oh, and the thread is yours, Lindo.

*poke*
Don't make me poke you again, Lindo. It will hurt.
Such empty threats. I'd fear a rubber band more than I'd fear you. That's because I can't harm you without harming myself. Bloody awful schizophrenia . . .

Ouch!
That did hurt! It's only been five days which is half the stale thread time. I'll take as long as I jolly well want! Just kidding, it's just that it's so tedious coming up with questions in this thread. Right...

Then you jolly well better prepare your bloody keyboards.

Boromir of Ladros -> Boromir the Steward.

Jolly good one...
Boromir of Ladros-> Bregor-> Barahir-> Ring of Barahir-> Elrond (or Aragorn)-> Isengard/Saruman-> Boromir the Steward
Six degrees, but I fancy there's a shorter way...maybe.

What if I jolly fancy to exclude objects or places?
Here's a hint, though: One of the contacts was "magical". EDIT: Here's another hint: Since Boromir of Ladros died of natural causes (well, I think), we could assume that he lived to see his grandsons. Hope that helps!

Ha! But Nil asked for Boromir the Steward, not of the jolly Fellowship!
Boromir of Ladros-> Barahir-> Finrod Felagund-> Galadriel (or anyone from Valinor in fact)-> Saruman-> Boromir the Steward

Hmm . . .
M-hm . . . Hmmm . . .
My resources are not complete. If you can prove Saruman and Boromir the Steward met, the thread is yours.

Crud, I got him mixed up with Beren who gave Saruman the keys of Isengard. My bad...
Now that I've got it jolly well straight let's see about this: Boromir of Ladros-> Barahir-> Felagund-> Galadriel-> Borondir*-> Cirion-> Boromir the Steward *Borondir was the last rider of Gondor who made it to Eorl to ask for help. When he and the Eotheod passed by Lorien and Dol Guldur, Galadriel sent out a veiling mist to protect them. Borondir acknowledged her power as something good rather than ominous as the Eotheod thought it. So thats how they were connected. Aye yi yi, this was a good one...

Tar-Minastir drove him out of Eriador, so I say it counts... continue from there.

Um . . .
But Tar-Minastir didn't actually fight in the Eriador war. He sent Ciryatur.
