Describe the ring that was part of the heirlooms of the Dunedain.

It was the ring of Barahir, a trothbond from Felagund, passed down from elendil through the generations of the heirs of Arnor (including its gift to and redemption from the Lossuth).

Well I suppose that if Felagund got it from his father, then the stone would have been clear and colorless unless exposed to starlight when it would dazzle the eye with splendors of silver and blue.

I'm going to go ahead and answer this one:

The ring was in the fashion of 2 serpents, one devouring and one supporting a crown of golden flowers.... they had emerald eyes.....

Next question:

Who did Ringil strike seven times?

The eagles. I think it was Thorondor himself who carried his corpse away and scratched Morgoth's face.

At which two locations can we find Aeglos in the first age (assuming this would have been possible)?

The mighty Spear of Gil-Galad might have been found with him at his first dwelling in Falas, then after the ruin of the country at the Isle of Balar.

Technically right. But I should have mentioned that I also meant an Aeglos different than Gil-Galad's spear. This is one of the two in question.

The word Aeglos actually means 'snow-point' -- could it be the peak of a mountain? In the Hithaeglir, maybe.

I'm terribly sorry I forgot to point out that the answer to Aeglos(2) lies in the Unfinished Tales.
Taimar, you are right that Aeglos(2) is a flower.
Whoever finds out first where it grew gets to ask next, I'd say.

I think (but I'm not certain) that the answer to the 'elfsheen' question was Morwen.

In keeping with the Numenorean nautical theme.

Which ship bore Aldarion on his first journey to Numenor?

I am going to assume that you mean "Middle Earth" and not Numenor. If you did, then the name of the ship is Numerramar (another of Veantur's).

Another ship question! What was placed on the bows of Numenorean ships for good fortune?

Close, but not there yet. It was indeed the wood of a tree, but not Nimloth (The answer, by the way, is in UT).
