1420! Middle-Earth sports teams.

Make up names for sports teams from Middle-Earth, for example...

The Minas Tirith Flaming Stewards
or
The Holbytlan Hole-diggers

P.S. make names that have a connection, just don't say The Rivendell Lions, makes no sense, try to find a connection between the City/Race name and the nickname, as the examples above show.

Tolkien

Just to let anyone know... I really, really, REALLY hate sports teams, i much prefere individual sports. But, i will try my best.

1. Elven Water Polo (Hey, if they love it so much why not make it organized?)

2. Numenorean Sailing team ( Yes, this is original and yes I am Captian Obvious.)

3. Dwarven Lumber Team ( Yavanna was right... they DO need a reason for wood.)

4. Rowanian Equestrian team ( They look better in chariot anyway...)

Well, i'm out of ideas. The last sports event i've seen and will ever tolerate is the Olympics. So, i'm going to leave more creative ideas up to other sports fanatics.

- Your Ka

1420!

The Ka, I like you idea of having each race have their own specific sport, very nice.

It is bywater Phantom, you got it!

Zebe, yes, I considered the miners, for the dwarves as well .

Those interested in Sport in Middle EArth may like to look at the thread of that name which I have bumped up in Books - but it probabaly belongs here...

The Belfalas / Dol Amroth team would be the Swans
The Emerie (Numenor) team would be the Baa-Baas
The Misty Mountain Wargs..
The Dunland Crebain (sorry - can't resist the obvious )
The Mordor Cats
Umbar.. has it's Corsairs, Harad the Wainriders...

Wait... what about Isengard's Warg water polo?
They could be the Anti-Timber Wolves! =D

And how about the hobbit drinking contest?
The Pickled ProudFEET... or the Brandied Bucks...

Then there's the archery contest... Elves versus Dunedain.
Hmmm... this one's hard...
How about the Shooting Stars of Eldar... aaaaand... the...
theeeee....
Orc filth, I'm stuck!... the Patriot Missile Men.
I don't know for that one... but has anyone ever seen "Robin Hood: Men in Tights"?
