Re: Identify (I know, these are real old-timey.)

Call me Beast! I“m 666th in here!

Is the Barrow-one simply &quot;Barrow-down(s)&quot; because its written downwards?

I have to admit I don“t have a clue about &quot;lacnd&quot;, though...

Re: Identify (I know, these are real old-timey.)

Sharku, no doubt these things date me from the seventies...
Mr. Underhill, yes.
Bywater and window to the west were near misses (and I hope I'm not just nitpicking).
And yes the Barrow-Downs was just so simply intended.
lacnd is geographical.

Yes, how kind of you to re-animate two of my weakest contributions to this board (this &amp; the analogies). I can see what you did this 4th. What's the matter, no fireworks in Iowa?

Fireworks and mosquitoes

Plenty o' fireworks, if you don't mind sitting in wet, mosquito-ridden grass. It rained all day til about 2 hours ago, and it is terribly nasty out. We can see the fireworks from our house, so we just watched them from the back porch (screened in). Quite nice actually.

Re: Fireworks and mosquitoes

Here they do them on the third ( they're Communists or something I guess). I watched standing tippy-toe on my roof.

Re: Fireworks and mosquitoes

Funny, they did them here in town on the third. But the town just south of us (the ones we watched) were on the 4th. Both of our towns must be subversives.

The Victorians called them &quot;resurrection men&quot; if they had the right employ. <img src=smile.gif ALT="">

Galpsi's transformation....

G, you have 463 posts on your global account. Many of them have been here. I'd guess you are within 100 posts of the next Barrow-Downs mutation. I may have to create another level above that if someone ever catches you. Can't have too many Ghost Princes of Cardolan running around the place. It'll scare off all the hobbits.
