Legolas sucks. Gimli sucks. And WHY OH WHY can't I save Boromir?! AAAAAAAAAAAUGH!

... yes, I own and have played the game. I got Legolas and Gimli up to level 3 before I finally gave up on the both of them. I have every skill for Aragorn and have beaten the game with him. Now I'm trying to master his "secret mission". Makes me hate Saruman all the more....

(Yes, I have beaten my head against the wall trying to save Boromir. I'm just that pathetic.)

Yep. I have the game as well. I also have the Fellowship game. I'm kind of stuck on FOTR but I have a good idea on what to do. Hehe.

I finished the TTT game a few months ago. I loved it! nPill-up to what level did you get up to with all your characters?

BTW:I did't like the FOTR game-it didn't get a good rating on Game Informer [a game magazine] either.

I LOVE TTT game for PS2! I've beaten It 100%, but that is with using the codes I got after completing the secret mission with Isildur. But I got all the way there with Aragorn, and it took a while. Guides help. I agree with whoever said it: Legolas sucks, Gimli sucks, Aragorn is KICKORC! Isildur is excactly like Aragorn, but it's just not the same. The Helm's deep levels are really hard without the Infinite health and arrows/axes. Right now I'm working on getting excellent or better on all of the levels with each character. Looks like I'll be needing another cheat. I just like the game cause it's the actors' voices and it has movie clips. It also has pretty good graphics, and the special moves are awesome! Well, hope everyone enjoys the game.

We have TTT game, it is very cool! the graphics are so wonderful. We actually basically bought the PS2 just to get that game . I am not so good at it, but my sister has beaten almost everything with all of the charaters.

BTW: Is it just me, or is Mr. Bloom wearing an enormous whachamacallit ring on his finger in the interview? I noticed it-the style doesn't seem to fit him.

It'll sound horrid when I say this, but I didn't like the graphics. I've seen much better. The gameplay is rather fun, however, which is why I like the game.

I agree that the Helm's Deep levels are difficult (believe me, I was about to hurt something when I had to keep protecting some stupid gate when the Uruk-Hai break through it ANYWAY), but I got through them without codes.

I have totally beaten the game. I have level 10 for every possible character including Isildur. I even did this in the hardest difficulty. WITHOUT CHEAT CODES!!! lol. Im not sure who said this but they said Legolas and Gimli suck...i disagree. Legolas is the best in the game. With his bow and quick/agile small sword things i can kill uruk-hai no problem. For those of you who are trying to level a character, just keep doing one of the missions and ull get some good exp as long as you dont die. Well maybe we can keep this discussion going? lol

Good way to put it InklingElf!

I just wanted to say that over the past couple of days that ive been messing around the TTT game, i got the idea of making a website about it. Including strategies, cheat codes, reviews, snaphots etc.

I was wondering anyone would like to do this with me please post and let me know if you want to. Just thought it would be a cool idea since i like to make websites.

It's rare that I use cheat codes, mainly because it's... well... cheating. And I hate cheating. Makes me feel low-down and rotten.

Oh, and nPill: As long as you're doing the technical web-sitey stuff, I'm up for it. You'll have to give me time to gain more experience playing the game, of course, if that's okay.

Hey thanks guys, that would be cool to have u work with my site. You dont really need to gain much knowlegde about the game to work on the site so dont worry about that .

Does anyone who wants to work with the site have AIM or something where we can chat about it? Im mostly using AIM (aol instant messanger) so if you have that my screen name is nPiLL4.

I was thinking of just starting the site off in geocities for now and getting a cjb.net cloak url. Probably wont do it in html because i havnt really used it in a long time.

Well hopefully talk to u guys later.

Geez guys, you didn't have to be so mean I beat the game without cheat codes, I even got through the secret missions and the Helm's Deep levels without them. I even got perfect with Aragorn on the Weathertop and The Plains of Rohan without cheats. What I meant was that it's easier to get a better rating with cheat codes, and you can just screw around on the levels without getting killed and having to start over.

And nPiLL, Legolas isn't that bad, Aragorn is just easier for me. I got Excellent on the plains of Rohan with Legolas. His arrows (especially the mithril-tipped ones) are his power, but they take a while to use for close combat. As for Gimli, he's good and strong, but he's just to slow for some of the missions.(especially his axes).

Anyway, all is forgiven.

Ranger of the Dunedain,

Aerandir Carnesir

P.S. InklingElf, I also noticed that Orlando had that like, super-ring in his interview. It kind of does clash now that I think about it. Oh well...

I'm getting a PS2 for my next birthday and was considering getting TTT for it as well. I'm just writing this to say thanks to you guys for giving your opinion - I've only played the game twice and let's just say I didn't do particularly well. But I'm still going to get it and try and beat the game!

PS: I agree with whoever said that cheats were pointless - they ruin the challenge of the game

Am I the only one here without a PS2? I have tTT and FotR for Gameboy Advance. I can't get past:
Moria with Gandalf
Caradharas with Frodo
Bridge of Khazad Dûm with Aragorn
Rohan with Eowyn
Plains of Rohan with Legolas

I wish I had PS2, but I don't.

There are built in cheat codes in the game, but you only get these if you complete the Tower of Orthanc with the secret character. Then you can mess around with the levels and get perfects on every level by practicing with the cheats first, that's if your weren't able to get them first time around.

There are also 3 levels of difficulty to play on. Expert was hard but much more fun, and getting perfects on expert MUCH more difficult.

I've completed the game several times now, with and without cheats and at different levels of difficulty, (the cheats at the end of the game are after all a reward for having completed the game and include some amusing differences, like small-enemies). I too bought the ps2 just for the game when I saw it played at my nephew's house (I bought it for him at christmas and was amazed at the graphics etc).

A search on google will bring up (other)cheats, FAQs and walkthroughs for anyone having difficulties.

You guys aren't talking about me when you say bad stuff about the cheats, are you? EA made the game so well, you have to beat the game before you get any cheats to work anyway. I was challenged just as much as everyone else. I wanted the game to be as challenging and un-spoiled/ing as possible. I even waited until I saw the movie to play TTT levels.

Love the TTT game on PS2, but I can't get Legolas through the secret mission! The trolls get me on the last level, just can't beat them all. I didn't have any trouble with Aragorn and not much with Gimli. But I did have to take Gimli back through the levels to get him to Level 10 before I could finish the game with him. I don't use the cheat codes, but I'm glad to know them now because it makes the game more fun for my kid 'cuz its too hard for him otherwise.

I like playing all the characters, but they do have different strengths and styles. Each are easier to play than the others on different kids of things, but I think overall I like to play Aragorn best (don't know how Isildur fights so well in that dress! LOL!) but I got farther faster with Gimli, just didn't earn all the upgrades, but completed more levels quicker and got stuck at Helm's Deep with a Level 6 Gimli! Finally got him through though.

You can get only one cheatcode offline that is refill your life which will probably be very helpful. It dosnt help make the levels where you are timed easier though. I recommend dont use them till you completely beat the game lol. It ruins the fun.

I have also beaten almost the entire TTT game. I just can't get past that gosh-darned Tower of Orthanc... I got to Floor 19 with Aragorn once; but I did a dumb thing and didn't get out of the way of the trolls, so I died. I haven't been able to get to that point since .

The cool thing is, Legolas (who I find the hardest to get through with at the beginning) was the first character I beat the game with. And I love his arrows! The mithril ones are awesome; they annihilate everything in their path. You can kill two, three orcs with one arrow, practice conservation, things like that.

TTT for PS2 is great. Someone said they didn't think the graphics were very good. I totally disagree.

Legolas is my favorite character because I found the game more challenging than using Aragorn. I don't like using cheat codes.

I think the tabletop game looks much better. Personally, I think that nintendo is ruining our minds! Minds that we could be using to read LOTR with! Ok, sorry, getting a little weird but I think that some of the marketing of LOTR has gone a bit far. I fear that people will forget what drew them to LOTR in the first place and some will not bother to read the books when they have the video game in front of them. Tolkien must be literally spinning and doing flips in his grave over this misuse of his novel. *sighs* Oh well, not much this little hobbit can do about it except refuse to pick up a controller.
