White-Hand *** IMPORTANT *** Limt set on number of PMs

All profiles are now limited to storing no more than 10 Private Messages (PMs). If you currently have more than 10 in your profile, people will not be able to send you new PMs. To receive new PMS, you must have 10 or less stored in your profile.

This was done because PM traffic was accounting for almost as much as public traffic.

To receive new PMS
Hmmm, I'm not sure my current PMS is meeting my needs, I may need to upgrade.

OK, OK. I've trimmed it down to 8. I'm going to have to create a file for RPG info, though, as that was what most of my PMs were.

You guys could always store important PM's in another file or even print them out. That makes things a lot easier.

Wasn't there already a similar limit, Barrow-Wight? Or was the limit a lot higher?

I think the original limit of PM's was 60, so 10 is a LOT less.

Hmm. I have a habit of collecting junk; I have about 25 PMs to delete.

Didnt someone say that geocities had storage space? How would you get that?

I haven't been able to use my PM since the April crash, and the dwarves at tech support have been less than helpful. I keep sending in the "software error" gobbledy-gook, but nothing seems to help.

Have no idea how many messages I had stored. But I know it was nowhere near 60.

I believe this 'improvement' was a necessity but it has now become quite impossible to contact the mods whose mailboxes are full almost all the time...
Any suggestions how to resolve this new problem?

I recommend that the mods give out their barrowdowns.com e-mail addresses if the PM limitations cause a problem. Remember, e-mail boxes take up space, too, so please empty them regularly.

Thanks

In need people need to make sacrafises. I don't mind for one. My main business are discussed in The forums. Pm's I use for chatting with people who don't have MSN. SO I guess I can only chat with 10 people

Nah kidding. I hardly ever use PM's. Only a few close downers.

Annunfuiniel,

Hi! I think I'm the one whose mailbox was jammed full when we were discussing the Breelanders' seed. Thanks to fast action by B-W, I now have a barrowdowns e-mail addie that you can use:

childofthe7thage@barrowdowns.com

This should eliminate the problem of having to try multiple times to contact me.
