Really, it's great to fun to read my first game (WWJI). Everybody's saying that I'm so quiet or hiding and that's even true - I remember that I missed whole Day1 and failed to vote on Day2 because I messed up the deadline... (Not to mention voting someone an experienced player recommended me to vote, suggesting Fea was the cobbler when the cobbler had already been lynched and being quite silly in other ways too - but I enjoyed it, obviously.)

You're welcome I "discovered" him already some time ago, mainly after one of our lecturers devoted several hours to talking about him. And I must say now I would have had a hard time choosing, because I could have chosen lots of other possible quotes from him (and only about similar topic there would be a lot to choose from). Also, I had to make the quote short enough to fit the sig, yet at the same time conveying at least well enough the central message.

I have that same unfortunate problem with Vaclav Havel's words of wisdom... So brilliant, but too much for the Downs' sig limit most of the time.

I can't remember exactly where I came across Wiesel, but I believe it was after reading Władysław Szpilman's memoir. I loved reading it so much, especially the diary samples attached. There are too many reasons why, but I believe it is just his perspective and how he didn't try to politize his work or music, and instead just simply wrote what he remembered.

Anyways, its nice seeing your sig around, thanks again.

I spent the last semester of school studying WWII. Many coming months of my life will be pretty heavily involved with research and papers regarding WWII and Nazi Germany. And yet it took Groin Redbeard's signature to remind me yesterday was D-Day.

But it is kind of funny. . .because if there where any day that we are constantly reminded of it is D-Day.

How many movies have not been made about D-Day or atleast have some focus on it? Iit is totaly out of porportion to the importance it had to the war. . . . Of course it depend on who you ask.

10,264 allied soldiers were killed! The invasion gave the allies a foothold into northern europe! What the heck do you mean it's not important?! The only movie I remember that was made about it was 'The Longest Day,' if anything the whole weight of the it is lost to our generation!
