Sting Random Question about Dwarves

I'm not sure how this 'arguement' came about, but I was discussing, on mIRC, whether or not Dwarves had the ability to mate with Elves or Men. Elves are able to reproduce with Men, and the three races aren't that different. But I've heard that because the Dwarves creation was, at first, unsanctioned by Iluvitar(sp?)they cannot and that's what seperates them from the other races. I think that Dwarves can mate with other races, thought they would have no reason to and are above the other races, so any offspring would be of a lesser class than a pure-Dwarf offspring. What are your thoughts?

(In the immortal words of Lush) Not to come off as a nymphomaniac…

Biologically: why not? I don’t think there’s evidence indicating that its impossible, though its not a subject I’m inclined to research.

Psychologically and sociologically: probably not. I don’t think that either elves or dwarves would seriously consider the possibility. They are too different. Humans would probably have a hard time with the whole beard thing (I’m speaking as a man here); beards on women… not exactly aesthetically pleasing.

Did you have any reasons for believing such, or is it just a 'hunch'?

Mate with Elves, Men, or Hobbits? As was said above i dont see why not

Produce Offspring with Elves, Men, Or hobbits? that is questionable.

We know for a fact that Elves and Men can produce offspring.
We know that Hobbits eventualy take the form of Men.
So its safe to say that Elves, Men, and Hobbits, are merely Different Races of the same Species. Dwarves on the other hand were not Children of Iluvitar. I would believe that the dwarves maker could not create beings on the same scale as Iluvitar (GOD) therefore make them incompatable with Iluvitar's Children.

I may be wrong but i believe that Dwarves are a seperate species from Elves, Men, and Hobbits, therefore can not produce offspring with them.
