Pipe What does it mean?

I've been here a while and know it means welcome, but what literally does mae govannen mean? And in what language?

It means "well met" in Elvish. I'm not sure if it's Quenya or Sindarin, but I'm leaning towards Sindarin.

Yes, "mae govannen" is Sindarin.

I always pronounce it "may go-VAN-en". Am I right or wrong?

It is go-VAN-nen. The stress fall on the next to the last syllable since there are 2 consonants, "n's", preceding the final -en of the final syllable.

It would be GO-va-nen if there were only one consonent; that is if it were spelled 'govanen'.

hey, here's a good question-how do you say "Mace" (medieval weapon mace) in quenya? i've looked at two places that have translators, and one of them is really comprehesive, yet could find no equivalent.
