M-E features in our world
This site already has a wonderful collection of M-E signs.
Now, can we find any M-E objects in our world? I don’t mean jewellery or any other collectables. Something grander. For example, this WHITE HORSE is carved into the hills of Wiltshire in South-West England. Like the emblem of Rohan – a white horse on a green field . Anything like that? Some of the castles in England and other places might look like Helm's Deep or Minas Tirith. Maybe...

Ho hum... Let me think... I know there was something I was screaming at the other day for looking way too LotR like to be allowed... Ah, yes. Otham, Kent, England. I swear it is the Shire. It looks way too much like it. And in Brirmingham there's meant to bge two towers and a marsh and some other stuff that Tolkien used as ideas. I have a booklet on it I get lots of random LotR stuff through the post. Half of the time I don't even know who it's from...

Richmond, NSW in Australia...is the incarnation of the Shire. Fields, mills, a village or two...then some downs...and behind it, the Great Dividing Range...HUUUGE mountains....its scary. I happened to be driving round it, listening to FOTR soundtrack, Concerning Hobbits, and nearly fell off my chair....

Some parts of Scotland are freakishly like the Shire. If I look out my window, imagine a hobbit hole dotted here and there...

Aspen trees always make me think of mallorn trees. They have white bark, which can look silver if the light hits it just right, and in autumn their leaves turn golden-yellow.

I bought some ranger's boots and climbed to the top of Amon Sul. Well, the closest thing around to Amon Sul. Unfortunately the Nazgul were called out to scare another bunch of travellers that day, so I did not get to meet them.
