New Season of Hetty Wainthropp
I might be completely wrong on this whole thing, but I was just watching tv, and it showed a commercial for the Hetty Wainthropp Investigates tv series. It said that the NEW season started Sunday at 9! Dom, of course, was all throughout the commercial, and he looked a very much older Dom than what he would have been when he played in it a long time ago. I might be wrong, but it said that it was a new season. Anyone have any info on this? Am I watching re-runs or an actual new season? Either way, I'm taping it to watch after I get home from church!!

What network does this come on? My mom used to watch it on PBS but that was way before LotR so I didn't watch Now I feel like I have to see anything and everything the actors are in

I never watched Hetty Wainthrop, but as it has the lovely Dom in I may give it a try...<P> <BLOCKQUOTE>quote:<HR> Now I feel like I have to see anything and everything the actors are in <HR></BLOCKQUOTE><P>Me as well! I watched Goldeneye because of Sean Bean, Patriot Games (also because of Sean Bean), Midsomer Murders, as El Bloomio was in it once, and of course, the Matrix, with evil Agent Elrond. <P>So is this new series going to be on British TV? Because I don't reconise the channel 'PBS'.

Well I haven't heard that they are making a new series on this side of the pond.<P>The BBC axed the programme some years back becuase of viewing figures. The figures were in the millions, but it was not good enough for the BBC so they axed it. It was a pity really because it was a really good programme that all the family could enjoy. It would be good to see it come back though. But would Dominic play a part in it if it did? I mean, he has become a star now hasn't he and it might not seem a big enough part for him anymore.

They should play the series in England, for it is a British show is it not? In NC, where I live, it comes on UNC tv...or PBS. I'm not sure about England though for I've never been there before. Check your cable listings though for it. You could have the channel and just not know about it.

Yes Hetty Wainthropp is a British series, but I think it got decommissioned because of poor ratings

Sadly I don't have cable (poohness) so I don't have very much choice when it comes to my viewing. But H.W is a British series, so maybe they'll be repeats some day? It's a shame they axed it, because I'd have liked to see Dom play a different part.

It's an alright show. I like Patricia Routledge's (Hetty) other show better. (Keeping Up Appearances) I think Dom was alot younger in this one, but very charming nonetheless In one scene, Hetty tells his character "When in doubt Geoffery, always follow the sound of gunfire". Had to laugh Maybe it's because I'm American, but I had a hard time understanding what was being said most of the time.

Will this only show in Britain, 'cause I'm in Oz! I would love to see more Dom, I think he's a little under-rated by people...<BR>I saw Billy in the TV show 'Coming Soon' which I thought was pretty cool! He's so...i dno...there's not a word for it really...
