AVAR comes from Avari, The Unwilling
RANT = course

So it means 'Unwilling to stay the course' or something like that.

The Elf Name Generator creates a temporary psyche-vortex connection between your given name, your auranic factor, and the Quenya stem-root list. Based on the resulting package of potential corresponding names/words algorithms, your Elven Name is arrived at by one hundred percent chance.

Taimar! Nice to see you every now and then, and that you're still sparing time as you can! <img src=biggrin.gif ALT="">

My 'true' elven name would be Gorancaion... Jaws of dread... I wonder what this says about me. My 'nick' elven name (for Sharkû) would be Lailoméion or such, 'green dusk'. Aha.

Now that's pretty cool... a real translation for a name. Thanks.

Elvin names

It would be cool if the name generator would give the meaning of our new names

That is a very good point evenspire! Do any of the head honchos here think it would be possible to update the elven name generator in this fashion? PLEEEEEEEEEASE?

I actually *made* an Elvish name generator of my own. Slower, and frighteningly low-tech, but at least you're sure what it means :P and you get to pick, too
