I have a question: did Theoden's son get wounded in the second book? Or was that just in the movies...?
I NEED AN ANSWER TODAY QUICK!!!

b. In the book, Theodred (Theoden's son) was ambushed by orcs and killed, off somewhere around the borders of Rohan.

UT is another place, it tells a bit more of the story, he was leading the charge and the uruks concentrated only on him, not caring about the others, anyway, there's more, so check out UT.
