Incorrect analogies

First of all my math is all wrong! Bilbo becomes 50 in 2940 so thats my wild guess.

As I didn't have my books I researched the barrowdowns analogies and found that Frodo Baggins is born in TA 2969 BUT this is wrong!!! FRODO IS BORN IN TA 2968!!!

Still the quess is probably along the wrong lines ... as enep I await thee Gwaihir

Cheers Telchar

Not quite sure where's he got too...It's been some time (about 350 posts ) so I'll ask a new one:

The River Sirion is to Beleriand as the River ____ is to Middle Earth?

Not the best analogy, but just to get things started...

Re: Incorrect analogies

Nay, Beleriand was and is never called ME. Sort of like Europe and Asia - they're connected, but are considered different continents, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, you're answer is correct. With regard to your 'rank', you never become a 'good guy', as you are in a barrow - you can only decay There's a thread somewhere in the Barrow-Downs forum that lists all the 'ranks.'

Lightfoot is to Snowmane as Melian is to __________?

The ME/Beleriand I'll put in a thread under "books" to hear peoples opinion - I don't agree - I allways understood it like there was Middle Earth and Aman - but Im propably wrong!

The best answer I can think of is 'Elrond'. He took the place of Aragorn's father, as Bilbo did for Frodo.

You're not thinking of Elendil, are you? Frodo is the heir of Bilbo, and Araagorn refers to himself as the heir of Elendil. That seems strained, though.
