Sting Elves of Lothlorien?

Are they high elves? Or Sindarian that Galadrial "adopted". My guess would be since she married Celeborn, kinsman of Thingol that they are the remnants of the elves from Doriath.

I think thats a possibility, as lots of elves and men migrated east because of the sinking of belariend. However, I'm pretty sure that many of the elves of Lorien are Silvan elves, those that turned away from the long journey west the elves made when they awoke....

Silvan Elves were certainly the majority. Some Noldor also I think it is stated somewhere may have went there with Galadriel, it is hard to imagine she did not have a 'household' [especially after the death of Finrod, Orodreth, Angrod and Aegnor and Gila-Galad [ in his revised descent from Orodreth] composed of many of the House of Finarfin. Likewise some of the Sindar [ of whom Celeborn was for a while the ruler in Harlindon] did not accompany him.

I would imagine though that these would be scant numbers compared to the Silvan Elves.

I think many of them are exiles from Eregion, where Galadriel and Celeborn have lived themselves for a while (according to UT).
