Musicians as Lord of the Rings film Characters

Quote:
The Beatles planned to do a live-action version with Paul McCartney as Frodo Baggins, Ringo Starr as Sam Gamgee, George Harrison as Gandalf, and John Lennon as Gollum - but those plans came to nothing

I think that would have been a great idea What pop stars could have been in the film or could have played those characters better? I'm thinking Liam Gallagher as Aragorn.

Iggy Pop as Gollum

David Bowie as Thranduil

Van Morrison as the elderly Bilbo Baggins

Stevie Nicks of the 70's as Arwen (hot!)

Ozzie Osbourne as the Gaffer (merely from a speech pathology aspect)

I'll think about more to add later....

I am back from the store, therefore, it is later:

Peter Frampton of the 70's as Legolas (or Frodo, he is rather short)

Eric Burdon (who once described himself as an 'overfed, long-haired leaping gnome') as Samwise

Ian Anderson as Tom Bombadil

Leon Russell as Saruman (he is one scary looking dude)

Keith Richards as Shagrat or Gorbag

Dave Matthews as Pippin

Charlie Daniels as Thorin

Ummm...the hockey playoffs are starting soon, so I will have to desist for the present.
