Laurinque's location is more than just a cool location! That's where she is right now! In Hawaii... she just sent me a post card and on the front it has a volcano it said: Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park... Lauri crossed that out and wrote MORDOR! and with an arrow pointing to the Volcano she wrote Mt. Doom! It was funny... so she really in a sense is in MORDOR!
... She adressed it to TGEW and signed it using her user name!

Then you shouldn't be to far away from her, since you are dancing in the plains of Gorgoroth.
And what are you doing with a paint brush of DOOM?

Watching the phantom have fun. There is a play by Victor Hugo called "le roi s'amuse" (The king takes his amusement) which is the basis for Rigoletto. However, the king in question, Francois I (exact contemporary of Henry VIII and perhaps more flamboyant) was a true renaissance prince but not known for his modesty so it seemed an appropriate link to dear tp who had kindly let me have an insight into what was going on.

Yeah, I was about to comment on that. One of the things he said in this thread got misconstrued, so apparently he felt the need to show the world his belief. I enjoyed it.

For clarification, I should maybe say that I was not speaking about your RL beliefs, Gwathagor, but about your sentence and view of Eru, which can be two totally different things... I was quite surprised (and yes, I must confess, also amused) by the strength of the reaction it provoked.

Why are you in the depths of my mind? Lauri, I don't want you to read my mind. But it's not like you don't know what I'm thinking about the majority of the time! (Beautiful, Hansom, Gorgeous, LotR, acting, you know the jist) and if you don't know the nicknames I give my favourites two of those mentioned are fictional characters!

Because it is warm and dark in the depths of your mind so there!
Anyway, one thing I would like to know is was this location thing on the Downs originally supposed to tell your actual location? Because if it was we have really messed it up! I do like it this way though. Last edited by Laurinquë; 01-26-2008 at 03:20 AM. |

I think that Hookbill needs to have a location that reads "Knowing what you're doing all of the time!"

Legate's new location doesn't amuse me as much as the Stromovous ones did, but is rather lovely anyway. It's a wonderful song that you're having there.

It's a cool word -- and at the moment, its pretty much true. We had... oh, somewhere between 12 and 16 inches of snow dumped on us yesterday. My husband and I were up in the wee hours of the night after the storm FINALLY stopped (it started Tuesday afternoon) digging out my car so I could get out in the morning (his gets the nice warm garage, grumble). And this winter, it's been snow every three or four days, followed by a cloudy day, then a couple of days of nasty, nasty cold (which, sure enough, is due to arrive late Saturday -- after more snow).
Oh, for the nice warm green hill of Ezellohar...! But around here, when the groundhog predicts an early spring, it STILL means six more weeks of winter. *sigh*

Well, my mom thinks it is fun to embarrass me (especially in a public place)... but most of the things that she says, I think are funny, so. (Most of the jokes that she makes are medical jokes though)

Hookbill's On a Cold Wind To Valhalla -- one of my favorite Tull tunes off of one of the great albums of the mid-70's, Minstrel in the Gallery.
