Ironically
I'm sitting by my computer, reading RotK, and I glance at the computers screen. Then I go back to my reading, and lo and behold! I pass a sentence that says:
So passed the sword of the Barrow-downs, work of Westernesee. Haha! I was laughing for a while after that one. Although sadly enough it's right after the part where Theoden and Eowyn die. What lotr-related ironic stuff happened to you?

I was reading Lotr, and I glanced at our video holder things, and the brand name turned out to be Hama. That freaked me out for a bit.
There's something in my mind and I can't remember what it was... [ April 09, 2003: Message edited by: Meela ]

What exactly is ironic about any of that?

I wrote this in another thread but whatever.
I was really souped up on LOTR after seeing TT for the 3rd time I went on this youth group thing. I swore the pictures on the walls of this old campground were tolkien related, but I thought it was my imagination from just seeing the movie. Until I looked closely at the pictures. On said Bilbo on it, the gandalf, then legolas! The retreat was based on LOTR and the discussion groups were named after the characters. It was cool, I was on team Frodo.

Where is this camp?!? I must know! Sounds like so much fun! Anyways, something like that happened to me but I can't remember what it was anymore..... Oh well, I'll remember in the middle of the night and sit up straight in my bed, likely hit my head on something or another, knock myself out, and not even know what I was trying to remember the next day! Oh well

It says 'Eljer' on my sink and toilet, and when I saw that i thought 'Elijah (Wood)' because of the font it's in. It's just kinda weird... connecting Elijah Wood to... my toilet. There were a commune in the 60's in Denmark (I already told about that in the "Names, names"-thread) which was called Kløvedal (Rivendell). At least two of the inhabitants later became famous writers (one 'normal' writer, the other explorer who writes books about his experiences) and as my parents like both people's books (they're classics in Denmark) everytime I look at their bookshelves I see the word 'Rivendell' glimmering at me.
I don't know if I wrote this in a way that made sence, but at least I understood what I meant!

hee hee hee! The most ironic thing I can think of ever thinking is the relation to Joseph from Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat and Saruman...I think that was one of the other times I nearly passed out laughing...
And then there was the 'princess elrond' incident...

I don't know why, but Ainaserkewen's name always reminds me of Andy Serkis. I don't think this was intentional, but it is kinda funny...

Every time I turn my computer screen off, it gets a little light glimpse in the middle of it (like practically any other tv etc.) but MINE is shaped like a G-rune (The one Gandalf For example uses on Weathertop.) And as I'm called Gandalf at school (Wonder where they got that idea? ) I think it's even funnier. Anyways I always have my nose up in the screen when I turn it off, to see the 'G'
