Shield Phantom Horse

In the film, Aragorns horse, brego, finds him and takes him to Helms Deep. Where did this horse come from? it wasnt the horse from Rohan, I know that much. So who sent it, and where is it from?
Also, did you know that the real Brego, the one in the book, was the father of the dead man that they found in the paths of the dead, and not a horse at all?
[ January 07, 2003: Message edited by: eleanor_niphredil ]

The horse, Brego, belonged to Theodred, Theodens dead son. There is supposed to be some extra scene in the Extended version with Aragorn setting him free.

Then... where's Hasufel? Speaking of Hasufel, if he's the first horse Aragorn rode, he was supposed to be dark grey, not brown, unless I'm going colorblind

Hasufel was back with the king. Aragorn fell off him and was dragged off cliff by the wolf. Then Brego (supposedly sent by the Valar) rescued him.

I think Hasufel died. I remember someone looking glumly at a dead horse before the whole scene with the dying Orc.
