I'll leave you guessing.

And it always made me laugh Lalwende, because I always imagined a little boy, Bart Simpson-esque, trying to get out of trouble by blaming his bad deeds on a pack of Wolves.

I used a similar line recently when something went missing; Yaks stole it.

You weren't terribly far wrong. It's from The League of Gentlemen, series 2, when one of the blokes on the way to the awayday (was it Mike or Brian, can't remember?) is mistakenly buried alive (after a fight over a bar of chocolate), the wolves are blamed. Like there are still wolves roaming the Pennines...Wonderful.

Funny thing is, I have tried using it on people myself when I've done something wrong. Unfortunately they don't always appreciate my dark 'sense of humour'.

I only just saw this, and it may well have been mentioned before, but much kudos to Lalwende - fellow appreciator here.

Now I see your post about it: and the other quote is familiar too. Didn't expect too many one-legged flautist fans around the Downs. Such is life...

I stand impressed! I shall have to be more obscure next time. Yes, my taste is what you might call eclectic. I blame the bargain music store near work which offers the only remotely thrilling lunchtime experience up this end of town. Might as well just sign over half my salary to them...

And yours, Rimbaud. Is that The Libertines?

Funny that, just as I was wondering which CD to put on, I come across a post by rimbaud and my decision is made.

I know many signatures are or once were song lyrics but I tend to be oblivious to them. Not this time.

Ah, thank'ee, Elennar! *bows* Ye really should follow the link and watch the movie I got it from (The Matrix Has You).

And now, as turnabout is fair play:

Elennar, I love your new sig! It's very mysterious and angsty. Pray tell, where didst thou discover it?

So many people have cool signatures! This is NightKnight's:

Quote:
There are three kinds of people in this world. Those who can count, and those who can't.
I like this one because my friend, who's a computer whiz (for example, today in order to get onto a completely innocent web site the school computers simply wouldn't allow, he adjusted the settings so the information would be sent to Taiwan and back or some sort of magic, and voila, the site came up... it baffles me), has this great shirt that says "There are 10 kinds of people in this world: those who know binary, and those who don't."

It took me months to figure it out.

Nilpaurion Felagund's latest multiple-choice signature got a good laugh out of me the first time. It's still provoking hearty chuckles each time I run across it.

Quote:
The curse on Húrin's Children was caused by: a. a loophole in the free will clause; b. Túrin, the angry man with a talking sword; c. Morgoth (yeah right!); d. stupid staring contests.
Choice (a) really takes the cake for me. Particularly because absolutely any Bible study discussion, taken far enough, can turn into a free will/predestination debate. Unless you have a leader alert enough to head it off.

I can just see the next meeting: Someone mentions predestination, my magnificently trite mind supplies "free will," and my sporadically brilliant wit responds, "loophole!" Result? Spontaneous explosion of giggles, and more strange looks and raised eyebrows from the group. Explanations? Impossible!

Yes, I am. But I would never be so bold to announce it to everyone. I like being anonymous nowadays. That's why my location seems to work well. You're right on the French Immersion thing, at least we're the only country with Quebequoi (sp?) immersion. I'm sure you can take French in Europe.

Rimbaud's latest signature is quite pretty, and mysterious. It reminds me of Elves:

Quote:

I'm not sure who's it is, but I saw it awhile ago and have only just now gotten around to putting it here, for some reason...probably my mum kicked me off the computer soon after I saw it...
