Which character would you remove?or add?
I'm not sure if this has been done before..
I was just thinking, if you could take out any scene or character from LoTR (the movies) who/what would it be? I'd definitely have to say that I'd take out Arwen in the scene of the Ford of Bruinen. It's rather obvoius why, she's not supposed to be in this scene, it's Glorfindel who saved Frodo. Also, if you could add any character/scene/song anything to the movie what would it be?? I would inevitably add Pippin's bath song, just for some more cominc relief! Yes, ElenCala Isil! Not only for the fact that the Barrow-Downs are so wicked cool, but for the fact that they completely leave out Tom Bombadil! Augh! But truly, when I first read the books, the part on the Barrow-Downs made my skin crawl I loved it! And that's where the hobbits got their swords...a bit more convincing than Aragorn just handing swords to them on Weathertop...but it's not my movie. Bravo to Peter Jackson for doing so well on so monumental a task.
Peace

I know he's already in it, but I will say Denethor. You can never ever have too much Denethor!
Oh, and apparently Prince Imrahil is a no-show. So i'd like him to be added. And my darling Bill Ferny should make an appearance. And Glorfindel would be great, but I have no complaints about Arwen. Perhaps have both making an equal appearance. I would remove a ton of the hobbit stuff. As great as it is, I prefer it if they just get to the point.

I would give Arwen the small part she had in the book. And add the Willow and Tom

Shouldn't this be in the Movies section?
I definetly think they should've added Tom Bombadil and the daughter of the river! But I guess they knew that they would never have found the perfect actor for those parts, sooooo.... Yeah. I also agree that it should have been Glorfindel instead of Arwen, but then they still would have had to explain how he could have restisted the Nazgul and all. Just my opinions .

I would have cast John Rhys Davies as Tom Bombadil.

Meela, good observation! Rhys-Davies seems like he would be able to pull off the Tom Bombadil that I have in my imagination

I'd love to see Sam hit Bill Ferney with his apple. That way when they're coming back Merry can say "Did you kill him with that apple, Sam?"
Oh, and don't forget the Scouring of the Shire. I'm really going to miss it.

I agree. I'm going to miss the Scouring of the Shire and Prince Imrahil very much. But luckily Beregond (yes, I like Beregond, he's cool and stuff ) will still be in the movie. They had better get him right.

I cant beleive that theyre leaving out the scouring. I think its horrendous. Maybe the Return of the king should be two movies, so they could put it in!!!

I'm sad the Scouring won't be in there. *pouts* Well, I still hope that Elladan and Elrohir will be in. I've always liked them.
